Lighthouse Vision for the future...
Lighthouse Christian Church is alive with the Spirit of the Lord!
We have become a multi-faceted ministry and our facility is a 7-day a week, Spirit-filled, cross-cultural, inter-generational ministry center.
Our several multi-cultural Sunday services are filled with hundreds of people praising the Lord in English and Spanish. There are testimonies and prophetic words, powerful preaching of the Word and miracles taking place. Jesus is glorified!
Our ministry to kids on Sundays has become a signature ministry at Lighthouse. Children love coming to our dynamic environment on Sundays where we minister to many of children.
Our multi-ethnic Worship Team is leading people into the very presence of the Lord here on Sundays and at conferences held around the Twin Cities and beyond. Our Worship Team has recorded their first Worship CD with many more to come.
Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings we have a growing number of women who gather to study the Bible, grow close in relationships and pray… they really press in and shake the foundation as they pray!
On the fourth Monday of each month we welcome many from the community in for a free meal and groceries through LoveShare. We are giving hope to many people by praying with them and meeting practical needs.
On Tuesday evenings our Students gather. God is raising up an army of young people.
We have concerts and special events for these students. We also have a discipleship track where we equip students to become strong Christian leaders to go into politics, media, education, business, and ministry and be world changers.
On Wednesday evenings adults gather in the Worship Center under the leadership and teaching of an Associate Pastor. This service combines a rotation of Praise and Worship with a teaching series and anointed prayer meetings. This has become a key discipleship time for adults at Lighthouse. AWANA on Wednesdays is drawing 150+ children who memorize God’s Word and have lots of fun.
Thursday evenings we offer Discipleship Training through a School of Ministry and a rotation of ministry opportunities such as: Centershot Archery, Divorce Care, Grief Share, Financial Peace University and various other short-term Bible study series.
Friday evenings we desire to see families, experiencing disability, have opportunities that meet their needs. The update of our facilities greatly opens the doors for more outreach to, and inclusion of, those with disabilities who have yet to come through our doors.
We offer monthly respite days welcoming children with disabilities and their siblings so parents can have some time for themselves. We will offer small groups in which parents of children with disabilities can encourage one another. In addition offering regular Bible study meetings for adults with intellectual disabilities in which they can learn God’s Word and pray together. We will host conferences encouraging other churches in the Twin Cities area how to include the disabled in their churches. Hopefully someday we will partner with organizations like Joni and Friends and Key Ministry to reach the disability community for Christ.
In addition to all the above, many other areas of ministry will be strengthened and started, such as, and not limited to:
Lighthouse Men are involved in many areas of the church serving, studying and praying. Mighty Men of God are making a difference!
Bless Israel Ministry—people invited to gather to pray for the peace of Israel, study our Jewish roots and the Biblical significants, celebrate Holy Days and study tours of the Holy Land. We also are developing a Shofar Team for Lighthouse and the greater body of Christ.
We will have many small groups and activity groups meeting off-site throughout the week/month.
Mission trips for local, national and international kingdom expansion and sending out people to the nations. We are becoming a worldwide lighthouse.
Partnering with Healing Rivers Christian Counseling Center, many people are being set free and receiving inner healing.
Our Facility in the Future
We have added an extended Lobby area on the south side of the building. This capitol improvement includes a new entrance on the south side and new parking lot that wraps around the building. Our kitchen and first floor restrooms have been completely remodeled. Our worship center has been refreshed with new theater seating, a new platform and new screens for media projection. We have built a small, intimate prayer chapel off the worship center. Offices and a Student Lounge have been added on the second floor with an elevator that makes this level easily accessible.
Additional future facilities in the years to come... We desire to own and operate a small apartment building that houses 8-10 single moms and their children. Lord willing, we believe we will become a multi-site church by planting new locations of Lighthouse in various locations to expand our reach.
