Future FACILITY PROJECT
We are working with Station 19 Architects, Langer Construction and Hal Johnson Associates on a Master Plan which is divided into Phases. Currently we are in process of raises up front money and commitments for a 36-month Capital Campaign for PHASE I to refresh the core of the building.
BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT UPDATE
November 18, 2018
Our Building Committee has responsibly scaled back the PHASE I Project from the originally proposed $1.63million project to a project of approx. $784,000. Good news! We have received 64% in commitments for 3 years, which is over a half a million dollars to date committed to be given. We are grateful for the substantial upfront cash gifts that have been received so far.
Therefore, we are able to move forward with refreshing the core of the inside of the building.
This $784K price tag includes: the lobby and restrooms and 3 possible additional alternates of a full-service commercial kitchen, ramp into Life Center and new carpet in Life Center.
We are at a crossroads as we have commitments for 3 years that will cover completing the substantial refresh of the lobby and restrooms. However, additional funds are needed to add the kitchen, a ramp and new carpet in Life Center.
We have some updated hard numbers by Langer Construction that we need approximately, an additional $280,000 to meet the $784,000 goal -– which would be a cost savings rather than waiting to include the 3 alternates at a later time.
We recognize many families have prayed about and sacrificially committed all that you are able, and we THANK YOU FOR THAT. For those who have been waiting to commit, or have room for increase, we ask for your prayerful consideration at this time. Whether large or small, we believe that everybody can do something because we are a family.
Our timeframe to begin the lobby and restrooms is January 2019. Whether or not we will begin the kitchen in January is up to us all as a church family and the commitments we receive. It is also beneficial to collect as much as possible by January 30, 2019, and for sure by May 1, 2019, in order to minimize the amount of bridge-construction loan needed. If you have the means to give sooner than later, we would greatly appreciate it.
If you would like more information about the project itself or the variety of ways to make a contribution/commitment, please contact Dave Lakey, Building Committee Chairperson, at firstname.lastname@example.org and he would be honored to meet with you personally.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS AND SACRIFICIAL GIVING! Let’s do this for the glory of God and future generations.
